Efficiency improvement of dual three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor using modified switching table DTC for electric ship propulsion

A direct torque control using a classical switching- table ST-DTC can be used to the and thus speed of Dual Three-Phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (DTP-PMSM). The principle is based on application sequence by two hysteresis regulators switching table. large stator current containing low order harmonics produced during classic technique, this leads higher losses affecting efficiency machine. To allow reduction these modified switching-table approach DTC technique examined. Indeed, an improved strategy, which consist replacing vectors with synthetic vectors, discussed. simulation results confirm validity selected strategy.
